legal information

Surrey Save Credit UnionIn 2011 a new credit union will be established in Surrey.

This requires an application to the Financial Services Authority for permission to trade as a credit union.

At this stage SurreySave is not authorised to accept deposits or provide any financial service whatsoever.

Some of the savings products require a change in the laws regulating credit unions and this change is expected in time for the launch of SurreySave.

Surrey Save is a project of the Surrey Financial Inclusion Partnership, a limited company that will be seeking charitable status. The Partnership is run by an executive group which is made up of local supporters based in Guildford, Mole Valley and Woking.

All data is held on behalf of SurreySave by third-sector Communities Ltd (Company number: 7103127), a project of third-sector.co.uk which is registered with the Office of the Information Commissioner.
